Washington [USA], June 4: According to the White House's announcement on June 3, US Vice President Kamala Harris and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan will be in the delegation attending the peace conference in Switzerland on June 15.
"The Vice President of the United States will reaffirm support for the people of Ukraine as they defend themselves against Russia's attack," Ms. Harris's spokesman said in a statement, adding that the vice president would emphasize the US government's commitment to supporting Kyiv to ensure a just and lasting peace.
Previously, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged Mr. Biden to attend the conference, saying that the US President's absence was no different from "applauding" Russian President Vladimir Putin.
