85% cost of Shramik Special trains borne by Centre: FM Sitharaman

New Delhi, May 17 (ANI): While addressing a press conference on stimulus package in Delhi, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on May 17 said that 85% cost of Shramik Special trains for migrant workers was borne by the Central government. She said, “Shramik special trains were started when it was possible for workers to move, states were requested to bring workers to stations, 85% cost was borne by the Central government.”
