Taipei (Taiwan) October 14 (ANI): China launched a new round of war games near Taiwan on October 14, drawing anger in Taipei. Taiwan had been on alert for more war games since last week's national day speech by President Lai Ching-te. Fighter jets were seen taking off and landing at Taiwan’s Hsinchu Airbase on October 14. China's military described the drills as a warning to the "separatist acts of Taiwan independence forces". The Chinese military did not specify a date for the conclusion of the drills, prompting condemnation from Taipei's govt. Taiwan has been on alert for more military exercises following President Lai Ching-te's National Day speech. In his speech, President Lai stated that China had no right to represent Taiwan while offering cooperation.
