CM Gehlot emphasises on making COVID-19 awareness campaign a success

Jaipur (Rajasthan), June 17 (ANI): Reviewing the status of corona infection in the state and awareness campaign through video conference, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that in this hour of crisis, taking all sections of society into confidence, the government took decisions through which we have been able to control the corona infection in the state. Public awareness is of paramount importance for this success to continue and to prevent corona. Keeping that in view, a big campaign to create awareness is going to start in the state from June 21. A special awareness campaign for ten days will send the message of safety from corona to every corner of the state so that people understand the risk of the disease and adopt methods of prevention. He said that the people needed to adopt safety measures such as frequent hand washing, maintaining 2-yards distance, not going out without a face mask and not spitting at public places, a part of their lifestyle. He said that the public representatives, officers, employees, social organizations, personnel at grassroot-level were needed to work on mission mode to make this campaign successful. During the meeting, CM also said that ensuring the adherence to social distancing in awareness campaigns, services of folk artists who earn their livelihood through street plays, folk songs, puppets etc. can also be used.
