Commercial Aircraft standstill at Delhi Airport as COVID-19 adversely hits aviation industry

New Delhi, Apr 25 (ANI): Global airline industry is battling to survive the COVID-19 pandemic. Commercial aircrafts are parked at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport due to the ongoing nationwide lockdown. The Center is worried about the health of the people even after the pandemic that is why it is not lifting the restrictions on domestic and international flights. Civil Aviation Minister, Hardeep Singh Puri said that restrictions on domestic and international flights will be lifted when the government is confident that spread of coronavirus has been controlled, and poses no danger to Indians. The commercial flights are facing deeper loses because of the lockdown due to pandemic. Domestic and international passenger flight operations have been suspended across the country till May 03.
