COVID-19: Assam students stuck abroad to get $2000 assistance, says Himanta Biswa Sarma

Guwahati (Assam), Mar 20 (ANI): Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on March 20 informed about state government’s steps to fight the dreadful coronavirus. Showing his concerns for the students of his state who are stuck in other countries, he said that the state government will transfer $2,000 to them so they can come back to their home safely. He also added that the state government is focusing on increasing testing laboratories and testing every people who are showing symptoms for coronavirus and there is no positive case in the state as of now. “50 % employees in government offices, all examinations have been cancelled and no standing passenger in buses is allowed as precautionary manner,” he added.
