COVID-19: Haryana cancels order of over 1 lakh testing kits from China

Ambala (Haryana), Apr 22 (ANI): Haryana has cancelled an order of 1.1 lakh coronavirus ‘Rapid Testing Kits’ from 2 Chinese firms. Haryana has now decided to procure these kits from South Korea. “We have placed fresh orders for 1 lakh kits from South Korea out of which we have already received 25,000 kits. Prices of these kits are half compared to Chinese kits,” said Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij. The ICMR had asked states to stop using rapid antibody tests procured from China for two days after complaints emerged of a large variation in their accuracy.
