Cyclone Amphan: Odisha Fire Service department on alert

Bhubaneswar (Odisha), May 18(ANI): Amphan is likely to intensify into a super cyclonic storm in next six hours. Heavy rainfall warning has been issued in coastal parts of Odisha. Fire department is on alert. 1470 personnel of fire department are ready to face emergency situation in the state. Odisha Chief Fire Officer Sukanta Sethi on preparation of fire department said that the department is ready to face any emergency during this cyclone. “1470 manpower has been prepared to tackle this situation,” he said. He further said, “We have divided our fire station staff into 3 teams, one to stay at the station and attend any fire calls and special service calls, another team will continue the sanitation work and the third team will remain ready to work during this disaster.”
