Over 1 lakh beds in dedicated 601 COVID hospitals: Health Ministry

New Delhi, Apr 12 (ANI): The Union Health Ministry on said that there are 1 lakh 5 thousand beds in dedicated 601 COVID hospitals. While addressing the regular health bulletin in the wake of pandemic, Joint Secretary of Health Ministry, Lav Agarwal said, “As per 9th April data, if we needed 1,100 beds we had 85,000 beds. Today when we need 1,671 beds, then we have 1 lakh 5 thousand beds in the dedicated 601 COVID hospitals.”The government is increasing the number isolation beds and dedicated COVID hospitals.
