Responsibility to be fixed for distribution, transmission loss: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan), May 21 (ANI): Reviewing the performance of power companies through video conference, Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot instructed to minimize the transmission and distribution losses for better operation of the power companies of the state. He said that the responsibility of officers and employees should be fixed at every feeder. Also, an effective monitoring system should be created for financial efficiency of companies. During the meeting, CM Gehlot underlined that due to the distribution losses, power companies suffer huge losses and as deficit increases, companies come under economic pressure. Our effort is to minimize the losses due to the waste so that the power companies continue to operate smoothly, he added. The Chief Minister directed the power generation, transmission and distribution companies to increase their efficiency and try to decrease unnecessary expenses at all three levels, to reduce deficit. He said that power theft should be prevented by effective monitoring. For this, the officers should visit the field continuously and do surprise inspections.
