Rose cultivation becomes difficult for farmers amid lockdown in MP’s Jabalpur

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh), May 07 (ANI): Rose cultivation becomes difficult for farmers in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur amid coronavirus pandemic. Flower farmers are facing problems due to lockdown and lack of labourers. Their businesses have slumped amid COVID-19 lockdown. While speaking to ANI, one of the farmers, Nawal said, “We could not get labourers and items like pesticides, so plants are getting damaged. I have suffered loss of Rs 4-4.5 lakhs. It will take three months for plants to recover.” There are total 3138 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Madhya Pradesh. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID-19 active cases rose to 35, 902 with 1783 deaths in India.
